She came in early in the morning to go through and ear mark her first subjects for each year. Which for those past first year was a review of what the kept in mind from previous year(s). She made it a point for start of the year to do a review. for first years he starts in basic theory. Because say what you will basics and theory can save one's life in dire circumstance. So she reviews theory in every year along with advanced uses for basic spells in later years.

Minerva headed down to talk with the newest teacher and to see what was going on with her and ensuring that she was settling in correctly. "Professor Sakonji are you in?" She asked as she looked at her with a calm expression, "I'd like to see how you're settling in here." She said to her as there was this feeling that she was also aware of the misgivings of some of the staff, she was just grateful that Pomona was on her side of it. |

She had just had her phoenix come in after her fly around the school. She did get a little down with all the foreigner comments. But as she said before to Snape, she was used to it. She hears someone at the door. "Ah professor McGonagall I presume? seats are available if you wish to come in?" she says to her with a smile. "I'm adjusting as well as I can to the school. I'm hitting walls I've expected and talks I've expected to have. The students have been kind. Thankfully none of the students know of my creature status yet. Don't care if they find out truthfully but still it's a rough subject." She tells her truthfully as she had heard many great things about this woman.

Minerva nodded, "Yes I am and I wanted to make sure everything is going as smooth as possible with a new teacher on the team." She told her as she looked at her with as warm a smile as McGonagall ever gave. She walked to a seat and sat down carefully as she looked her over, "If the students find out the Board of Governers might and they would see us both suspended if not outright fired. Me for allowing a dangerous creature to teach the students and you for being one." She admitted truthfully she'd only allowed her in because Albus would have and she had always trusted his sense of justice and judgement of character. She knew full well that this woman was no threat to any of the students. |

"Yeah, I wouldn't willingly get you in trouble. Though I also can't skip over vampires for 3rd years. I think some Ravenclaws suspect me." She says as she knows that she can only hide it for so long. "what is your thought on the tri wizard tournament being held here again so soon?" she was curious as she believed that was the other reason, she was hired this year.

Minerva looked at the woman and adjusted her hands slightly, "I feel that the tournament will hopefully foster relations with the other schools and that Ilvermorny could use sometime to get to know us as we were once one." She told her then sighed softly. "I also know that most Ravenclaws are smart enough to know better than to say anything to you. Though save Vampires for fourth years, the third years may not take well to learning about both vampires and werewolves." She was merely trying to advise her newwest teacher.[/blcokquote] |

"They are in the same class period. As I wish to teach them advanced uses of beginner spells. Theory of course not live practice. So, it would be hard unless I assign them as after class assignments." She says as it was true cause oof the fact it would be perfectly fine to add it for 3rd years but not for first and second years

Minerva didn't like that this woman was combining years that could prove dangerous but she wouldn't argue for now. If anything came of it and it harmed the students she'd let her know for now she had to give her the benefit of the doubt and work out how she was going to teach these kids since they are different from the ones that she was used to. She was going to let her do what she wanted and she nodded, "Just be sure that you don't harm the kids mentally ok?" She cautioned as she looked at the woman with a gentle look to her eyes trying hard not to feel like she had to press the issue. |
