It had taken her some time, but the house that she lived in now was like home, pictures were hung, chairs were set, food ws in the fridge and the kids rooms were ll set up. One of the things that was coming through with the divorce is that the kids would spent part of the summer with James and part of the summer with her. At least Char and the youngest, Harry could do as he wanted as he was 17 now and could be whatever it was that he wanted to be. It had taken Lily some time to earn enough to get this place but now she had it, and it was hers, and she felt safe and it was ok. It was the first of the two main things that she had planed that week, the other was getting in contact with Severus and mend the bridges that were damaged over the things that had happened when they were in Hogwarts together.
She sent Severus a letter, asking him to meet her in the Grand Forest, knowing that it was a safe place that they could talk and she knew that James would not be following her there. She needed to talk to Severs, get him back into her life because it was everything that she wanted in all of this. She had made sure that she put in that there was nothing bad, no anger and that she wanted to mend things with him, about how things had gone. So when the day came, she had changed into a simple summer dress, white with flowers on it, something like what she had on the first time that they had met at their tree.
She then put her cloak on, she had brushed her hair down, put her wedding ring in a small box and locked it up so that she did not have to worry about it any more. She then turned and apperated into the forest, she looked around and found a good place to wait, there was a fallen tree and she went and sat upon it and smiled off. She loved the way that this area looked, and now she worried, was he going to show up? Was he still mad at her? She did not know, all she knew was to wait and find out.

Severus got the letter and headed out to meet up with her, she was probably going to tell him about her life and how it was going. Why had he held out for her? Why didn't he move on and get with someone else? He took a deep breath and shook himself as he walked to their Tree. He was sure that she was going to simply tell him things and leave what was new with that? He knew that she was happy with Potter so why would she want to get a hold of him unless the rumors were true and there was more to this than what was let on.
"Lily." He said as he approached and remained quiet beyond the greeting and calm dressed in the same robes he wore at school. He didn't bother changing as he didn't know what was going to happen with her or what was going to go on after all things were rather odd for him right now.

"Severus..." She smiled softly seeing him, she knew that her youngest was in his house, and she would ask about him as well but for the moment she was just glad to see him. She got up to her feet as she dusted off the back of her robe from where she had been sitting on the tree. She looked at him as she rubbed her hands together as she was trying to come up with how she wanted to tell him about the things that had been going on. "First it is really good to see you, and I am glad that you came and didnt think that i was just being stupid again." She told him as she was taking her time to say what it was that she wanted to say. She was messing with her hands, not having that ring any more was something that she was getting used to.
"Well, first i dont know if my son has told you, but I, well I left James." She said as she looked up at him. "He was becoming abusive and cruel to both myself and my youngest." She said as she was talking fast for a moment. "I moved into my own place, and the kids will be moving in there as well once the school year is over." She told him as she was feeling all the stress hitting her as she held onto herself a moment and then allowed herself cry softly as she let it all hit her now. "Wow sorry, getting that off my chest has released all the stress." She said.

Sev looked at her and remained calm as well as stoic he knew what he wanted but he kept himself reserved after his father he was cautious to show emotions. He listened as she spoke, "Oh I do think this is stupid but only because if James knew he'd make me regret seeing you he said as much in the last letter I tried to send that he sent back." He told her as he looked at her then sighed heavily.
"You left Potter? Why?" He asked softly then he heard the answer and paused as he nodded and walkd to her as he gently took her hand and pulled her close as he hugged her, "It's ok Lily I'm here." He whispered as he felt so much anguish and rage for Potter when he found Potter he'd pay for hurting Lily like this he'd make himm wish he'd enver been born.

"Well yes." She sighed a moment as she looked at him "I didnt know about any letters, James was, is very controlling with the things going on. Anything that was not on the same line that he wanted he was not going to be happy with." She told him as she was trying to work into her mind all the thing that had been going on, she knew that James had been good, good until her baby came out as being gay, and now he had changed. For the worse if you were really thinking about the thngs that had been going on. But now that she was thinking about it, he had been bad since the moment they got married and when she was no longer allowed to see her parents, her sister and, she was shaking now.
"I was so stupid Sev." She cried into his chest a she was shaking some, she was just letting now al the years that she had been married to James were wrong and bad and now she was just now seeing all the pain that she really had been going through. Lily shifted and stayed close to him, feeling safe for the moment in his arms and away from the pain that she had been going through. "I was so stupid." She repeated.

"I tried several times." He said softly to her, his voice cracking slightly. He wanted to be with her and love her for the rest of her days. "Well he can shove it up his ass." He said to her with a smile and then gently held her close to him. He looked at her and then smiled, "We'll go see your family together ok? Maybe even see Petunia?" He suggested to her.
"We both were." He said softly as he held her close and gently kissed her, "I love you Lily and I want you to stay with me, can we...uh...once your divorce is done start dating?" He asked softly as he looked at her with a gentle smile. Happy just in this moment with Lily.

"You did? I wish that I could have had the letters, they would have helped me through the things that I had to go through with him. But just knowing that you were out there, that was what helped to get through the nights of being alone or the times that he went off on me." She said as she then laughed sadly. "My parents are dead now, but i would like to see my sister, that would be more then amazing." Lily was trying to keep herself from falling to much apart.
Feeling his kiss was more then what she thought that she would get out of all this. "Oh Severus." She said as she touched his face. "I love you too, and yes, when everything is said and done, but for now, this, i still want this to be with you as the only person that cares." She said as she held onto him.

"They may have made you leave him sooner, here are some of them." He said as he pulled out the small wad of envelopes. "Those are the general letters I sent a card at the holidays too." He told her softly, "I tried to send gifts to your kids but he told me to stop at that point." He said to her gently as he looked at her as he smiled. "Then let's go and see your sister even if she hates me." He told her with a wry grin.
"Oh Lily I've loved you since we were little." He said softly as he held her and he just reveled in the moment with the woman that he truly adored and wanted more than himself. He'd give his life for her and he'd give his soul to keep her safe, she was his world and without her he'd have been lost and he could tell that much. |

"I wish then that I could have gotten them, and you honestly are the sweetest, well to me, not to the kids they think you are a bat, not my kids i just mean the kids in the general." She laughed softly as she kissed his cheek softly for a moment. "Who cares what she thinks of you, that does not matter. But yes, I would like to go and see her with you, and to see where my parents are burried at the moment." She sad as she held onto him still, she loved him and she felt as though he really did love her as well, and he would not treat her the way that James had treated her, which made her feel less like a failed person.
"All the times that we would hide in the tree and talk, the times at Hogwarts when i would just hide with you and talk." She smiled as she was feeling better now that she was there with hm and he as being the man that she needed at that moment as she still felt scared. "Im just scared, that he is going to find where i moved to and he is going to come and hurt me and the kids." She said as she looked at him.

"Well we have each other now." He told her softly as he kissed her cheek lightly happy with her, he was eager to enjoy his feelings with her. "Then we'll go do that as soon as you are ready ok Lily? I want you happy and safe." He added as he smiled at her feeling at peace and for once not tormented by his choices.
"Yes exactly." He said softly to her as he watched her a moment then sighed, "James will never hurt you again, if he does I'll destroy him." He told her as he looked at her he was being honest he'd annihilate Potter if he tried to hurt her, she was his now and that meant she would be safe. |

Lily smiled as he shifted in his arms, taking her time now to just calm down, she was feeling as though she could be alright now, that he could be free and happy and safe. "Thank you, yes I would like that to go and do this when the time is right and happy." She told him a he snuggled up against him a moment. "Thank you for being here, thank you for coming and understanding what was going on. I did not know who else to turn to, that and I have always cared about you. His friends would not understand other then maybe Remus but they have always been on his side in things, o i, i am happy that you are here." She said as she wanted to do something for him, something that would show him that she was happy.
"Thank you." She then took a moment and leaned up and kissed him, she wanted to let him know that she did love him, and honestly she did not care what anyone thought as she wanted to thank him in the way that she knew that she should for him. "You, its always been you, im sorry that i was pulled away." She told him as he touched his face, looking into his calm and wonderful eyes that had always been something that held her close.
